With the global banking sector in crisis and the closure of multiple banks across the US and Europe, the crypto market is in a deep state of volatility, and many depositors are switching to digital assets from traditional banking. Microsoft is reportedly developing a cryptocurrency wallet for its Edge browser.
Microsoft is reportedly testing an internal crypto wallet in recent months with the intent of eventually rolling it out to customers. If everything all goes according to plan, Microsoft’s Edge web browser will soon include a built-in cryptocurrency wallet.
The tech giant will promote the option to buy bitcoin via Coinbase and MoonPay using the built-in wallet, and it will also include the ability to connect Decentralized Applications (dApp) to the built-in wallet and allow collecting and holding Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
While Signuptoken.com was getting closer to gathering 1000 email addresses, the cryptocurrency industry saw a 2.53% increase in market capitalization to $1.18 trillion, followed by a spike in the prices of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in daily trading.
The $390 billion Bitcoin boom of 2023 crypto market
Supported by strong bullish resistance, Bitcoin (BTC) has risen by 12.66 percent during the previous week, reaching a high price of $28,578. This rise came as BTC acquired momentum for a move above the $28,000 zone.
The value of Bitcoin has increased by over $390 billion, or 70%, since the beginning of 2023, and the cryptocurrency is currently trending toward a quarterly gain larger than any since 2021, when BTC reached an all-time high of $68,789.63.
Bitcoin’s price rose by 2.10% in the last 24 hours, sending it to $28,205.14 with a market valuation of $544 billion as of this writing.
Buying pressure strong on Ethereum
Ethereum’s (ETH) price was on a steady increase in daily trading, having risen from its opening price of $1,794.63 to a 24-hour high of $1,836.29 before falling down.
In the wake of the recent implementation of Merge, which is believed to be one of the key reasons for the increase, Ethereum registered an overnight gain of 3.30 percent. Experts expect that ETH will continue to experience uptrends toward the $2,000 mark.
