Microsoft is taking conscious measures to make Paint a valued tool for creators by integrating layers, a function long associated with Photoshop.

The Paint is getting support for layers and transparency in an update that is now being tested by Windows Insiders.
Free Windows Application
While these features have long been accessible in Adobe Photoshop for ordinary editing and are required for skilled picture modification and digital arts, they are now available in a free Windows application.
Users may now use key layer features including adding, moving, reordering, merging, duplicating, and more in the latest Paint version. By stacking image elements, these characteristics enable artists to create more complicated artwork.
Furthermore, the update adds picture transparency capabilities, allowing users to open and save transparent PNG files without backgrounds. This is in line with a recent Paint update that included a backdrop removal feature.
Although these features may appear basic in comparison to Adobe Photoshop’s entire suite.
This development is nevertheless a win for Windows users looking for simple image editing without the extra expenditures.
It’s associated with software primarily intended at professionals. Other applications, such as Canva, place certain functions behind a paywall as well.
