Netflix calls this a “new Windows app experience.” The update adds live events access. It also introduces Netflix’s ad-supported plan.
This plan is very popular. Many users now subscribe to it. It forms a big part of Netflix’s subscriptions.
Sadly, the update disables offline downloads. The screenshot confirms this change.
But you can still download on mobile devices. Laptops are no longer supported. The update will come soon.
Windows users have a bit of time left. Not every user sees this change now. Netflix likely releases it regionally.
The update may not reach Pakistan yet. But offline viewing days are ending.
