Mercury will close accounts for businesses in Pakistan. This also applies to some other countries. The closure date is August 22, 2024.
Mercury told a CEO of a company in Pakistan about this change. They said their account rules changed. “We cannot support your account after this date,” Mercury said. “Your account will close on August 22, 2024.”
Mercury knows this causes problems. They will help businesses during this time. They gave steps for what to do next.
Transfer Funds: Move your money to another bank. Use ACH, check, or wire options. If money remains after closing, Mercury will send a check. They will send it to a US address.
Settle Transactions: Complete all transactions before August 22. Transactions after this date will not go through.
Migrate Recurring Transactions: Move your recurring payments to another bank. Tell your vendors about the change.
Download Account Statements: Account statements will be online after the closure. Download them early to make things easier.
