Lenovo aims to debut the world’s first transparent laptop at the upcoming MWC 2024 event, following LG’s see-through TV at CES 2024 earlier this year. This was confirmed through both official teasers and leaked renders.

The laptop’s cover and deck are made of transparent OLED technology—a smart display technology developed by LG and Samsung—and feature see-through components.

While the main internals are hidden beneath an opaque base, a thin bezel encircles the device, likely to store ports and antennas. A touch-sensitive keyboard smoothly integrates into the glass panel to round out the futuristic appearance.
While the appearance of this device is definitely intriguing, it is safe to assume that it will remain a concept device, serving more to demonstrate new technology than to provide real-world functionality.
Even if it becomes commercially available, Lenovo will most likely only make a limited number of units of the devices.
Aside from its transparent laptop, Lenovo aims to debut its ThinkBook 14 G14 notebook, which will be a true 2-in-1 with a 360-degree hinge.
In addition, there will be a ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 with Intel and AMD CPUs, a T14S with a notch, a larger T16 Gen 3 notebook, and a second-generation ThinkPad X12 Detachable.
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is expected to begin in Barcelona on February 26th, and all of these gadgets will be demonstrated in full, with a subsequent release.
