On Sunday, the organized land mafia attacked a five-member family with gunfire and knife-rampage over a land dispute, killing two young brothers and injuring two others, including their mother, who were sent to PIMS hospital in serious condition.
Huge police units arrived on the scene, however the land mafia attackers managed to flee before the police arrived.
Eyewitnesses Statement on Killing Two Brothers By Land Mafia
According to eyewitnesses, four young brothers Umair, Imran, Awais, and Anas, as well as their mother Nazia, were residing in Talhar, which is located on the Margalla Hills and falls under the jurisdiction of the Kohsar police station.
A team of medics performed post-mortems, and the Medico Legal Report (MLR) revealed that Nazia Bibi’s two boys, Umair and Imran, were shot many times in various regions of their bodies by land mafia attackers, including the chest and heads.
Her two other sons, Awais and Anas, as well as herself, were all hurt by daggers and gunfire.
However, the police have yet to file a first information report (FIR) and have avoided sharing information with the media for unknown reasons until the filing of this report.
Attacks in Twin Cities on Police
Meanwhile, biker thugs attacked two police checkpoints in Islamabad around midnight Saturday, but the cops stationed there narrowly escaped, according to authorities.
The criminals riding on motorcycles opened fire on police checkpoints along the Kashmir Highway at Aabpara and 7th Avenue.
At the same time, the gunmen targeted a police picket on IJ Principal Road in Satellite Town, which is under Rawalpindi’s authority.
After acquiring evidence from Safe City’s CCTV cameras, the police registered a case and began tracing the culprits.
