Sindh government will add new bus routes in Karachi. The new routes will be in Malir, West, Keamari, and Lyari. Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon met with members of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
They discussed the new routes. The meeting had many important people. MNAs Abdul Qadir Patel and Agha Rafiullah were there. Karachi Deputy Mayor Salman Murad also attended.
Other attendees were MPAs Saleem Baloch, Yousuf Baloch, Yousuf Murtaza, Raja Abdul Razak, Liaquat Askani, Asif Khan, and Shazia Singhar.
Sindh Mass Transit Authority Managing Director Kamal Dayo attended too. People’s Bus Service Project Director Sohaib Shafiq was present. Operational Manager Abdul Shakoor was there as well.
The officials decided on a new route. It will go from Ziauddin Hospital to Chakiwara Chowk. This route will pass Bilawal Chowrangi, 26 Street, CM House, Sultanabad, and Mauripur.
The PPP members gave more suggestions for new routes. They will test new routes from Hawkes Bay to Saddar. They will also test Manghopir to Banaras on Monday.
The PPP members suggested more routes. They want a route from Lyari to Malir. They want a bus stop at Chakiwara in Lyari.
They proposed a red bus from Malir to Lyari. They also proposed a pink bus from Malir KDA Morr Ghareebabad to Yousif Goth Baldia Town.
Minister Memon stressed the importance of these routes. He said the Sindh government wants a good future for Karachi. He noted that better buses improve public transport.
This will make life better for people. He said the goal is easy, efficient, and cheap transport for everyone.
