Here, it was formally proclaimed that Istehkam-e-Pakistan, a new party, had entered the national political scene. According to the reports, Jahangir Tareen officially introduced the new party during a dinner at Aleem Khan’s residence.
Around 100 national figures attended the dinner that was organized in Jahangir Tareen’s and his group’s honor.
Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Mahmood Maulvi, and Jay Prakash were among the attendees, as well as the former governor of Sindh.
Leaders Gathered On Call of Jahangir Tareen
The dinner was also attended by GG Jamal from the former Fata and Ajmal Wazir from the KP. The notable figures who have joined the new group include Noreez Shakur from Punjab, Murad Raas, Fayyaz Chauhan, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Nauman Langriyal, and others.
These political figures reportedly voiced complete faith in Jahangir Tareen. According to insiders with the Tareen Group, Jahangir Tareen will hold a news conference today (Thursday) to introduce his party and platform.
Former Punjab provincial minister and leader of the Democrats, Murad Raas, had previously joined the Jahangir Tareen coalition.
The meeting also included Aleem Khan and Awn Chaudhry. Additionally, a number of former assembly members and other political leaders declared their support for the Tareen group.
They included Rafaqat Ali Geelani, a former advisor to the chief minister of Punjab on endowments and religious matters, Mumtaz Mehravi, a former MP from Chishtian, and Meher Irshad Kathia, a former MP from Sahiwal.
Mian Usman Ashraf, Mianwali, and Major (R) Khurram Rokhri from Nankana Sahib also announced joining the Tareen party. Jahangir Tareen was also visited by ex-MPAs Diwan Azmat and Syed Muhammad Chishti at his Lahore home.
Additionally present in the sessions were Abdul Aleem Khan, Ishaq Khakwani, Awn Chaudhry, Malik Nauman Langriyal, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Ajmal Cheema, Ameer Haider Sanga, and Shoaib Siddiqui.
