According to Andreas Ferrarese, the Italian ambassador to Pakistan, almost 15,000 Pakistanis received visas from his nation last year, and more are expected this year.

Ferrarese disclosed that the Pakistani community in Italy sent €1 billion to Pakistan in 2022 during an interview with a local TV station.
The Italian envoy expressed optimism that the number of visas granted to citizens of Pakistan will rise this year.
The 220 million people in Pakistan, he continued, offer a sizable market for Italian products.
Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan Regarding Economic Benefits
The ambassador further noted that both Italy and Pakistan are relying on green energy sources as a result of their own energy crises.
He claimed that in addressing this issue, the two countries are learning from one another’s experiences.
According to Ferrarese, Italy and Pakistan want their citizens to travel abroad more regularly for tourism-related reasons.
When asked about his own travel preferences, the Envoy mentioned that he had never been to Multan, a city in Pakistan, despite having learned and heard about its history.
Ferrarese’s remarks highlight the strengthening ties between both countries, which include increasing economic cooperation, initiatives for energy reform, and a common passion for tourism promotion.
