Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, was shot on November 3 during a protest march in the Punjab Province of Pakistan by unidentified gunmen, according to accounts in the media.
The event happened close to Allahwala Chowk in the Punjabi town of Wazirabad.
Khan, who is 70 years old, was struck on the right leg, according to video. Police moved him from the container he was travelling in during the attack to a bulletproof truck.
According to the broadcaster, one individual was detained on the scene and taken by police to an unspecified place.

Mr. Khan was said to be safe at first, but several individuals were said to be hurt. Later, it was discovered that Mr. Khan had also sustained injuries.
There are also rumors that Senator Faisal Javed, a close ally of Mr. Khan’s, was hurt in the assault.

On October 28, Khan started his protest encirclement. According to the original schedule, the party’s long march, which had been travelling for six days, was supposed to arrive in Islamabad in seven days. Asad Umar, the PTI leader, announced the protest convoy will arrive in Islamabad on November 11, instead of the march’s original arrival date of November 4.

In order to press for his demands, Khan has been calling for early elections and is spearheading the lengthy march towards Islamabad. August 2023 will mark the conclusion of the present National Assembly’s mandate, and new elections should take place within 60 days.
