229 runs at 22.90 and 36 wickets at 19.02 in tests (correct at time of publication) One T20I wicket and two ODI wickets.
When it appeared that South Africa’s bowling attack could not be improved, a 206cm left-arm quick who left his own stamp came charging up.
Moments with the white ball indicate that batting lineups will not find much rest regardless of the format, as seen by Jansen’s first nine Test matches (*including Boxing Day in Australia).
Jansen troubled his opponents wherever he went in 2022 following a solid Test debut on home soil on Boxing Day 2021. Jansen replicated the performance on tour in England and Australia, taking 14 Test wickets at just 13.50 and 13.11 respectively. He also took 14 Test wickets in South Africa throughout the calendar year. In addition to taking nine Test wickets at a respectable 28.55, he also helped out with the bat for Dean Elgar’s team.
Four times for South Africa in two different white-ball forms, Jansen shown early signs of his talent. In his sole T20I, he claimed Shreyas Iyer, and in an ODI against Bangladesh, he took two wickets.
