With iOS 14, TrueCaller introduces SMS filtering capabilities for iPhone. This feature works offline and performs SMS filtering on mobile devices. This app provides SMS filtering for known and unknown senders, transactions, promotions and junk SMS. iOS 16 expands TrueCaller’s SMS filtering options to include the following categories:

Below is a step-by-step guide to enable TrueCaller SMS filtering on your iPhone.
- Launch the TrueCaller app on your iPhone and go to iPhone Settings > Messages.
- Then tap Unknown & Spam.
- After that, just turn on the switch for “Filter unknown senders”.
- Finally, select the Truecaller option.
With SMS filtering enabled, the app automatically removes spam and fraudulent messages from your inbox. You can view filtered messages by tapping the Spam or Fraud tabs at the top of the SMS screen. After reviewing the message, you can decide to report or block the sender.
