The ninth month of the Islamic calendar is Ramadan (Hijri). Muslims are required to observe the fast throughout this month. The gates of Allah’s grace, pardon, and favor are wide open to Muslims during this holy month. For Muslims, Ramadan is the most significant and holy month of the year.
During the month of Ramadan, namely on the night of Laylat al-Qadr, God revealed the first verses of the Holy Quran to Muhammad (PBUH) (one of the five odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan which is better than a thousand months.).
Fasting in this holy month is the Islamic faith’s fourth pillar. Keep the fast and protect it from all that defiles or lessens its benefit, such as falsehood, unpleasant words, or bad treatment of others. Fasting is not meant only to abstain from food, drink, sexual activity, or other tangible lusts.
The gates of paradise (Jannah) open in this Holy Month, while the gates of hell are shut and the devils are imprisoned. In the holy month, the Umrah replaces the more significant Hajj.
According to a reliable Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) promised forgiveness for anybody who fasted throughout the holy month out of faith and expectation of reward.
So, this month presents every Muslim with a once-a-year chance to gain a tremendous reward from Allah Almighty. That’s why it’s important to get ready for the holy month in advance.

You can learn more about Ramadan by reading certain books or articles. This will help you feel the greatness of Ramadan, not just in your head.
Third, get your body ready for Ramadan fasting.

Throughout the holy month, Muslims are encouraged to read the entire Quran aloud to gain the many benefits of doing so. To ensure that the sound and expression of Allah’s revealed words are preserved in the recital of the Quran, Muslims should study Tajweed. This is highly rewarded act according to the Prophet (SAW) of Allah.
Five, Pray More
Avoid missing any mandatory prayers and make it a habit to conduct the Sunna prayers so that you can pray Tarawih every night of Ramadan. In addition, Muhammad is quoted as saying in reliable Hadith:
There is nothing more dear to Me than the things I have commanded my servant to do, and my servant continues to grow closer to me via his Nawafil (additional prayers) until I love him.
