This year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) featured some diverse and impressive technology from companies all over the world. In addition to its flagship Magic 4 smartphones, Honor also unveiled the GS3 smartwatch and the Earbuds 3 Pro wireless earbuds.
The Honor Watch GS 3 was first released in China earlier this year and has a 451mAh battery that can last up to 14 days.
Build and Screen
When it comes to build quality, the body is made of stainless steel, while the strap material varies depending on the color of the watch. While the ocean blue and classic gold models have Nappa leather straps, the midnight black model has a rubber strap.
The smartwatch features a circular 1.43′′ AMOLED display housed in a 45.9mm dial. The display has a resolution of 466 x 466 px and a pixel density of 326ppi.
The screen supports three touch operations: up, down, left, and right sliding, tap, and long press.
Features
In addition to touch operations, the Honor Watch GS 3 has two navigation buttons that support long press, short press, double click, and other similar operations.
The smartwatch also includes an 8-channel photoplethysmography (PPG) heart-rate monitor with artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms that claims to provide 97 percent accurate heart-rate monitoring, all-night sleep tracking, and a SpO2 monitor for blood oxygen saturation measurement.
The smartwatch can be connected to any smartphone via Bluetooth v5 to receive notifications of calls or messages.
The Honor Watch GS3 is powered by a 451mAh battery that is rated to last 14 days on a single charge. With GPS tracking enabled, the smartwatch has a battery life of 30 hours and can last for up to a day on a 5-minute charge. The device comes with 32MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
The silicone watch strap model of the Watch GS3 costs €229 ($254), while the Nappa leather strap model costs €249 ($277).
