According to recent sources, Honda Prelude is anticipated to be revived. Since the Honda Prelude was phased out, it has been more than 20 years.
Honda Motor Corporation aims to reintroduce its 20-year-old classic sports car as an electric vehicle, which is interesting news for Honda fans.
The two-door sports coupe was one of the most exciting vehicles the brand offered before it retired in 2001.
It was also mentioned that the Prelude’s replacement might be an electric car (EV), as Honda has ambitions to introduce a sporty EV in 2028.
The two electric sports cars were hinted at by Honda as the Prelude and NSX’s replacements, according to a report from Japan’s Best Car Web.
One of the sports electric vehicles will be a special edition, according to Honda, and the other will be the flagship model.
The NSX will return as an EV, according to Acura Vice President and Brand Officer Jon Ikeda. The availability of both EVs will be global, it was claimed.
As we previously mentioned, Honda and Sony have teamed up to create an EV development company.
To counter Tesla’s products, the joint venture will manufacture and market the Premier EV.
The joint venture states that the business will begin taking pre-orders for its first item before the end of 2025.
First customer deliveries are expected to begin in the US in 2026 and in Japan in the second half of 2026. Two vehicles are offered by the new venture: a crossover and a sedan.
Both electric vehicles, according to Sony, will have two motors that can each generate 536 horsepower and drive all four wheels.
The business withheld additional details about the vehicle’s battery pack, electric range, amenities, and price.
