Several legendary batsmen have recently left an indelible mark on cricket by regularly scoring centuries on the international arena. Babar Azam and Joe Root have been in incredible batting form since the start of 2021, scoring a combined total of 13 hundreds.
Babar Azam, regarded as one of the game’s brightest young stars, is a team captain’s dream and a model of grace and composure at the wicket. He has been able to accumulate runs against all opposition in all three formats because to his fluid adaptation to them.
Their centuries have contributed for the respective teams
Root’s tendency for scoring large runs and his exemplary classical batting approach have been crucial to the team’s triumph on numerous occasions. Babar and Root are followed closely by Dimuth Karunaratne of Sri Lanka and Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand, both of whom have scored eight centuries.
Jonny Bairstow and Devon Conway and Usman Khawaja and Shubman Gill and Steven Smith and Paul Stirling all join this club of exceptional batsmen with seven centuries.
