The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has opened applications for the PERIDOT Mobility grant program’s 10th Phase.
HEC’s PERIDOT Mobility grant program
Pakistani researchers can apply for this opportunity to collaborate with their French counterparts in joint research activities from August 16 to October 6, 2023.
The PERIDOT program, which is part of the Franco-Pakistani Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) Program, aims to promote scientific and technological cooperation between French and Pakistani higher education institutions and research laboratories.
- Process of Eligibility and Application
Applicants must be regular faculty members of public or private higher education institutions with a PhD or equivalent degree to be eligible.
Applicants can submit joint research proposals online via the HEC’s portal. The procedure entails an evaluation based on merit, transparency, and competition by independent experts from both France and Pakistan.
Areas of Research and Funding
The mobility grant is intended to support research in the following areas:
- Environment, Climate Change, and Sustainable Energy
- Agriculture, Food Safety, and Health
- Social Sciences and Humanities
Projects that address social issues related to environmental issues will be strongly encouraged. The HEC and its French counterpart will split the funding for the main research project equally. The grant will cover travel and living expenses for researchers visiting Pakistan and France as part of the projects.

- The program’s goal is to promote the mobility of young researchers, particularly doctoral students working under the supervision of a principal investigator.
- The host institution must have the necessary accommodations for visiting fellows.
- During the application process, applicants must upload the previously developed joint application (submitted on the Campus France portal) in the document section.
