The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is hosting a national Green Digital Photography Competition as part of the Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement (GYM) to promote environmental preservation and sustainability.
In this regard, HEC has requested entries from Pakistani youth by February 20, 2023, at www.pmyp.gov.pk.
The competition offers young people (age restriction: 15 to 29 years) around the country the chance to participate and submit unique photos that highlight the effects of climate change in Pakistan.
With the theme “Impacts of Climate Change on the Eco-System of Pakistan,” the photography competition aims to highlight the wonder and diversity of nature as well as the effects of human activity on the environment and the viewpoint of young people on these issues.
Green Photography Competition Criteria
Participants are urged to send in their best images that best depict the theme. Two categories of young people—category 1 for those between the ages of 15 and 22 and category 2 for those between the ages of 23 and 29—are most likely to be present in the competition.
The first, second, and third place winners in each category will each get monetary awards totaling Rs. 200,000, 150,000, and 100,000 as well as praise for their accomplishments.
HEC encourages young people to get involved in environmental activism and motivates them to take action to safeguard the environment by hosting the Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement photographic competition.
The Prime Minister’s Youth Program will celebrate the Week of Youth from February 20–26, and during that time, the winners will be declared and given their winning gifts.
