The Cabinet Division has issued a warning that hackers are attempting to steal the data of government workers via bogus emails once more.
The Cabinet Division claims that hacker gangs, who primarily target government entities and government employees, want to steal user information through fake security advisories and phoney emails relating to the Eid vacations.
These fraudulent security advisory use fictitious accounts with names like Assistant Secretary National Telecommunication and Information Security Board (NTISB-II) and include malicious attachments and payloads.
These phishing emails include files named “Eid Holiday Cabinet Division Press.docx” as attachments.
Govt. Institutions & Employees Have Been Warned Against Hackers
All of the Ministries, Divisions, and Departments have been requested by the Cabinet Division to exercise caution and refrain from opening or responding to malicious attachments.
For any official correspondence, only dsntisb@cabinet.gov.pk, asntisb1@cabinet.gov.pk, and asntisb2@cabinet.gov.pk are valid NTISB email addresses.
The Cabinet Division has warned users to be on the lookout for phishing emails and attachments and has not released any emails relating the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
