The Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission (RRMC) meeting was presided over by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday at Finance Division.

The minister received an interim report from RRMC Chairman Ashfaq Tola that contained suggestions from the Commission.
The analysis by Tola, according to a local newspaper, recommended a number of tax measures to be included in the future budget for 2023–2024, with a focus on bringing undisclosed income under the net reforms.

Tax Reforms in Upcoming 2023-24 Budget
The interim study has also suggested charging the wealthy while providing relief to the less fortunate, with a focus on raising the proportion of direct taxes through FBR.
The finance minister appreciated the RRMC’s efforts in identifying problems and difficulties with the current system and for developing useful recommendations for reforms in the revenue policies for resource mobilization, ease of doing business, and taxpayer facilitation to achieve sustainable economic growth, according to a formal handout distributed after the meeting.
The Commission’s ideas were discussed at the meeting, and it was decided to develop business-friendly onus reforms after consulting with all the stakeholders.
Finance SAPM The conference was also attended by senior authorities from the Finance Division, FBR, and RRMC, including Tariq Bajwa, SAPM on Revenue, Tariq Pasha, Secretary of Finance, and Chairman of the FBR.
