Android’s quarterly feature drop has arrived on time, bringing a bevy of new features and improvements without big OS upgrades, and it’s not limited to Pixel devices as usual.
Here are all of the upcoming Android phone upgrades.
Android’s Update In a Nutshell
The Assistant At a Glance widget now uses artificial intelligence to present you with useful information like highly accurate weather forecasts, real-time flight updates, and upcoming event reminders directly on your home screen, when you need it.
Q&A on Images
Navigating through images in a group chat, photos on the camera app, or on social media can be difficult for people with visual impairment.
Lookout’s Image Q&A attempts to improve visual content accessibility by using AI to produce more detailed descriptions.
Voice to ask follow-up Questions
When you examine an image, you can type or use your voice to ask follow-up questions to obtain a better understanding of its contents.
34 Supported Languages
Lookout is expanding its language support even further with the addition of 11 new languages to its app, including Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, bringing the total number of supported languages to 34.
Password for Google Wallet
A new Google Wallet update will retrieve your daily tickets and passes when you need them the most.
With Google Wallet Pass photo import, you can easily convert passes with barcodes or QR codes, such as gym or library cards, into digital versions.
Simply submit an image of your pass to Google Wallet to securely save a digital version of it.
Google Auto
Android Auto now supports Webex by Cisco and Zoom, allowing you to initiate and participate in audio conference calls as well as browse meeting schedules directly from your car’s display.
Active calls can be controlled using Android Auto, which allows you to mute your microphone as needed and end the call when you’re through.
Google Fit
Within your personalised Routines, you can now obtain insights into your Fitbit or Google Fit activity and sleep statistics.
Begin by incorporating your sleep duration and start time into your “Good Morning Routine.” Then, simply say, “Hey Google, good morning” to get a morning briefing that includes your sleep statistics.
