Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique Announcement
According to a local news channel, Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique gave the appropriate authorities the go-ahead on Wednesday to ensure that salaries were paid to railway workers prior to Eid-ul-Fitr.

The minister called a meeting and gave the concerned staff instructions to make sure that employees received their pay and pensions in advance of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The minister also gave the department instructions to upgrade the iftar provisions on the Green Line Railway travelling from Islamabad to Karachi. Train services and the department’s performance were also covered in the discussion.
Sindh Govt. announcement on Advance Salaries on Eid-ul-Fitr
Prior to Eid-ul-Fitr, which falls on April 21 or 22, the government of Sindh had directed the advance payment of salaries and pensions.

“The provincial government has placed to decide that full pay and allowances/full pension for the month of April, shall be paid in advance to all Muslim employees/pensioners of Provincial Government of Sindh (including work-charged and contingent paid establishment),” read a notification from the finance department.
Because Eid-ul-Fitr is anticipated to fall on either April 21 or April 22, the announcement noted that the salaries and pensions will now be released on April 17 rather than May 2.
