The system requirements for the PC version of God of War have been revealed and it looks players will need a reasonably beefy setup to get the best out of the game. To play the game on Ultra (4K @ 60 FPS), players are going to need at least an NVIDIA RTX 3080 (10 GB vRAM)/AMD RX 6800 XT (16 GB vRAM) and 16 GB RAM.
Thankfully, the installation size is a reasonable 70 GB (SSD). God of War was easily one of the best games of the last console generation and it being released on PC is a fairly major deal. The game is the latest of SIE first-party titles to make its way onto PC – previously, joining the likes of Days Gone and Death Stranding on Steam.

Along with the system specs requirements list, Santa Monica Studios has also revealed the PC features list, which includes support for NVIDIA DLSS as well as Reflex. God of War on PC will also support AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) so players with AMD GPUs can get the best out of their experience.
Enhanced graphics on the PC release include higher-resolution shadows, improved screen space reflections, enhanced Ground Truth Ambient Occlusion (GTAO) and Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO). From the looks of it, God of War might just be one of the best-looking games on the PC, and hopefully, the launch will be relatively bug-free. The game is set for release on January 14, 2022.
Santa Monica are also currently working on the sequel to the 2018 release – God of War Ragnarok, which will be the concluding chapter of the Norse saga. The sequel is set for release some time in 2022, and the exact date is currently unknown.
