The management of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has decided to take drastic measures to contain the COVID-19 spread within the PSL camp. Because the virus is rapidly spreading across the country, the management has decided not to take any chances.
The PSL management has chosen to create separate bio-secure bubbles for PSL 7’s local and international broadcasters, according to details. The international broadcasters’ complete team will stay in a bio-secure bubble in a five-star hotel in Karachi, while local broadcasters will stay in a bio-secure bubble set up in a city beach resort.
Local crew members who will be working with the commentators during the event will be enclosed in the bio-secure bubble of the international broadcasters.
By midnight tonight, the broadcasters have been asked to join their own bio-secure bubbles. Every member of the broadcasting team will be quarantined for the next three days before being permitted to begin their preparations for the huge event.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PSL administration have already constructed separate bio-secure bubbles in one hotel for the squad members of the six PSL teams, according to previous reports.
The majority of local players have already joined their bio-secure bubbles, while international players are expected to arrive in the country in the coming days. After completing their necessary three-day quarantine period, the squad members will begin their training activities.
The PSL 2022 season will begin next week. The defending champions, Multan Sultans, will face Karachi Kings in the tournament’s first match on January 27 at National Stadium Karachi.
