As the ICC Awards trophies arrived in Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi, Babar Azam, and Muhammad Rizwan posed with them. In men’s cricket, Pakistan dominated the ICC Awards of the Year for 2021, winning three prizes.
Pakistan has won three ICC awards for the first time in history: ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year, ICC T20I Cricketer of the Year, and ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year.
Captain Babar Azam received the ICC One-Day International Cricketer of the Year award last year for his outstanding performance in the 50-over format, which included match-winning performances against South Africa and England.
Muhammad Rizwan, on the other hand, was named T20I Cricketer of the Year for his outstanding performance in the short format, when he scored 1,326 runs in 29 matches at an average of 73.66.
The most prestigious cricket award, however, went to Shaheen Afridi, who won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year 2021. In 2021, the pace bowler dominated, taking 78 wickets in 36 matches across all formats.
The three cricketers have finally got their awards after being named the winners, and they have expressed excitement and jubilation.
