A Lahore-based YouTuber will be detained by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing (CCW) for interrogation in connection with the reportedly leaked offensive videos of the late televangelist Aamir Liaquat.
Media sources state that the suspect is suspected of having posted the late TV host’s private tapes. The suspect, known as Fazeel, was in charge of keeping the video archives and served as Aamir Liaquat’s personal secretary.
According to reports, the FIA has chosen to examine Fazeel in order to ascertain his role in the allegedly leaked videos of Aamir Liaquat that were used to slander him on social media.
The YouTuber will be questioned and asked for details on the origin of the stolen videos. The FIA has chosen to re-interview any arrested suspects in the investigation in addition to summoning the YouTuber.
This comes after Dania Shah, the late TV host’s widow, was detained earlier this month. Dania was detained by the FIA on suspicion of disclosing and disseminating Aamir Liaquat’s personal footage without his permission.
Dania’s bail application was denied by a local Karachi court, and the FIA is presently holding her. The investigation into the leaked tapes is still underway, and it is anticipated that interviewing the YouTuber and any individuals who have been caught would assist to clarify the situation.
