The Punjab province administration has introduced an electric rickshaw in partnership with a private company in an effort to lessen environmental pollution in the region.
Punjab Government Introduced Electric Rickshaw For Sustainable Environment
Following a significant meeting at the transport secretariat chaired by Secretary of Transportation Ahmed Javaid Qazi, the electric rickshaw presented.
However, a local private enterprise and the Transport Department worked together to create the e-rickshaw.
Furthermore, after a successful operation, the specialists gave it a close inspection.
With the introduction of these rickshaws, Ahmed Javaid Qazi planned to drastically lower environmental pollution.
Mileage on Single Charge
According to officials, an electric rickshaw may cover a distance of up to 150 kilometers on a single charge.
But as of right now, no details regarding its cost or availability have been made public.
However, the 1969 Motor Vehicles Rules have amended by the caretaker administration.
With the use of these modifications, the Qingqi rickshaw now has legal legitimacy and may be registered as a three-wheeler.
