Custom authorities at Islamabad Airport seized 250 high-end mobile phones worth a total of Rs. 60 million. Islamabad Airport agents reportedly confiscated 250 high-end imported mobile phones, including iPhone 11, 12, 13, and 14, valued at Rs 60 million, and arrested two travellers.
Custom recovers the smuggled mobiles
Originally scheduled to land in Peshawar, PIA Flight 216 from Dubai was rerouted to Islamabad owing to severe weather. According to the authorities, Mohammad Abbas had 139 phones and other passengers had 111 phones seized by the authorities. According to reliable sources, travellers routinely clear expensive products at every airport with the help of Customs employees.
