Indus Motor Company (IMC) prepared to unveil the Corolla Cross, the company’s first locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), following a storm of leaks, rumors, and clues.

Yesterday in Karachi, a line-off ceremony unveiled the locally produced Corolla Cross Hybrid.
Furthermore, prominent guests at the function included dignitaries from the government and Toyota representatives.
The Chairman of IMC, Mohamedali R. Habib, thanked everyone who helped make this historic accomplishment possible and emphasized the strong friendship that exists between Pakistan and Japan during the ceremony.
Yoshiyuki Takai, President of Toyota’s Emerging-market Compact Car Company, attended the event and emphasized how Asian nations are becoming more and more reliant on HEVs.
Takai expressed hope that, similar to its success in other markets, Pakistani consumers would embrace the Corolla Cross HEV as an aesthetically pleasing, highly efficient, and thrilling car.

Features and Specifications
The vehicle’s 1798cc hybrid engine generates 305 Nm of torque and 168 horsepower at 3600 RPM.
The car comes with Direct Shift CVT transmission.
The top-of-the-line model comes with DRLs and LED headlamps. Low-end versions will have halogen ones in the interim.
In the meantime, the car has shark fin antenna, electric + auto fold side view mirrors, and door handles that match the color of the body.
A power + kick sensor trunk door is another feature of the top-of-the-line variant; other variants have an electric lock boot.
All versions now have 17-inch alloy wheels installed by the company.
It has leather seats, a dual-mode auto air conditioner, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and rear air conditioning vents.
Lower-end models, on the other hand, feature fabric upholstery, a single-mode auto air conditioning system with CD and Bluetooth, and no rear seat AC vents.
Safety Features
However, seven airbags included in the international Cross model: side, knee, driver, passenger, and curtains.
A low-end car, meanwhile, has two airbags.
Additionally, parking sensors, a passenger seat sensor, ABS, and a hill starting assist system are features shared by both versions.
The top-of-the-line model includes an auto-sensing rear wiper, a shark fin antenna, cruise control, and a moonroof.
Conversely, the entry-level model lacks cruise control.
Sports + Eco driving modes are available on all models.
Along with smart entry, the company has also added the Push Start feature to these upcoming cars.
