Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab’s caretaker chief minister, was officially appointed Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today after running unopposed in the PCB elections. Naqvi has been appointed as Chairman for three years.
Elections for the PCB Chairman
The elections for the PCB Chairman were held at the National Cricket Academy, and Mohsin Naqvi was elected as the 37th Chairman.
Following the resignation of former PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf, the Caretaker Prime Minister nominated Mohsin Naqvi for the new chairmanship.
The former chairman made the announcement during a meeting of the Management Committee. Zaka joined the PCB Board of Governors on July 6 and took over as Chairman, succeeding Najam Sethi on the same day.
