BYD, China’s electric vehicle (EV) behemoth, is expanding into Pakistan through a partnership with local company Mega Conglomerate Private Limited.
At the BYD Asia Pacific dealer conference in Xi’an, China, Liu Xueliang and Zhang Jie from BYD and Mega’s Aly Khan signed an agreement on this matter.
General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, Liu Xueliang, stated that the goal was to introduce cutting-edge green vehicle solutions to Pakistani consumers while also transforming the country’s automotive industry.
Meanwhile, Aly Khan stated that the agreement would spur widespread EV adoption in Pakistan and improve sustainable mobility.
The agreement includes plans to open three BYD flagship showrooms in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad by 2024.
These showrooms will not only showcase BYD’s advanced new energy vehicle technology, but will also offer customers a seamless retail experience and allow them to place direct orders.
