Bugatti has officially unveiled its first electric vehicle (EV), which is a two-wheeled vehicle. Instead of a cutting-edge vehicle, the Chiron manufacturer has shown a basic electric scooter, the result of a partnership between Bytech International and Bugatti.
The French business has established itself as a top-tier hypercar maker with a design philosophy that stresses speed and elegance, and it is now developing an electric hypercar, but the unveiling of its first standard-spec electric scooter has raised some eyebrows.
The magnesium alloy e-scooter is only 15.8 kg in weight. According to Bugatti, it is aerodynamic and useful, thanks to its 700W electric engine, which allows it to attain a top speed of 30 km/h.
The Bugatti Veyron has 1000 times the power of the new e-scooter, to put it in context. The scooter is not a hyperbike and is built for short city trips, but the Bugatti-Bytech collaboration could build one in the future.
When in motion, the e-taillights, scooter’s as well as the sidelights that project downward for enhanced vision on the sides, seem inviting.
It also has turn signals and an LED display that shows information like as riding mode, speed, battery life, and light status. The 360Wh battery has a 35-kilometer range and may be readily recharged using a standard wall outlet.
Many major automakers are flocking to the electric vehicle market, and Bugatti appears to be one of them. It hasn’t set a price for the e-scooter, but the luxury brand will most likely rely on its name to do so.
Despite its possibly expensive price, it’s difficult to identify who this e-scooter is aimed at, as people who already own aggressive and extremely powerful Bugatti hypercars are unlikely to purchase an e-scooter.
