The engineers and workmen who reconstructed the Pinjra Bridge in Bibi Nani, a Balochistan town halfway between Quetta and Sibi, in under eight hours would receive Rs. 5 million, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Along with the Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenzjo, the Federal Minister of Communications, Maulana Asad Mehmood, and the Chairman of the National Highway Authority (NHA), Khurram Agha, PM Shehbaz inspected the flood-affected districts of Balochistan.
During his visit, he assessed the demolished Pinjra Bridge and received information on flood damage and recovery efforts, including the reconstruction of railway infrastructure and arteries damaged by the flooding.
A prize of Rs. 5 million, of which Rs. 3 million will come from the federal government and the rest Rs. 2 million from the Balochistan government, would be awarded to all the employees who built the bridge in less than eight hours, according to PM Shehbaz.
