Two cyberattacks occurred against the Aviation Ministry’s website on Wednesday within just few hours, knocking it offline.
According to reports, a statement in a foreign language was posted on the website following the initial hacking attempt.
Nevertheless, the ministry’s IT department got to work right once fixing the website and eventually got it back up and running.
A few hours later, there was another attack on the website that took down the entire structure.
Ministry representatives have resumed work on repairing the website, after a struggle they have been successful.
There are presently no historical records or data on the website that existed before to the attack.
Furthermore, online attacks have already targeted a number of official websites, including the Supreme Court and Pakistan Railways websites from earlier this year.
This brings to light a persistent problem with cybersecurity in government agencies.
