Australia has dethroned Pakistan at the top of the ICC Men’s One Day International (ODI) rankings. Pakistan had only recently regained the top spot after a 3-0 series triumph against Afghanistan, but their reign was short-lived.
ICC Men’s ODI rankings
Australia’s recovery began with a strong performance against South Africa in the first two One-Day Internationals of their series.

Australia Secured #1 Spot
The Australians put up an incredible performance, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat in the first ODI, followed by another fantastic success in the second, restoring their place atop the ODI standings.
Pakistan’s Chance for #1 Team again
However, the race for first place is far from done. Pakistan has a wonderful opportunity to reclaim their position if they can defeat India in the forthcoming Asia Cup 2023 Super 4s match on Sunday.
A victory over India would not only improve Pakistan’s confidence, but would also move them to 122 points, one point ahead of Australia.
