The third-generation iPhone SE is one of Apple’s most affordable iPhones to date. The iPhone SE 2022 comes in the same body as the iPhone 6, but with the most up-to-date hardware and software.
Design and Display
The new iPhone SE has the same 4.7-inch screen as the iPhone 6 with substantial bezels, but Apple has improved the durability of the device with Ceramic Shield glass protection. The Retina IPS LCD screen features a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a peak brightness of 625 nits.
You no longer have to worry about Face ID being incompatible with masks because the home button on the bottom bezel now supports Touch ID.
Internals and Storage
The most significant improvement is seen under the hood. Apple has equipped new iPhone SE with the A15 Bionic chipset, which is the same as the one used in the previous iPhone SE.
All Android flagship SoCs, such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Dimensity 9000, Exynos 2200, and others, are put to shame by this processor.
The chipset is combined with NVMe storage options of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Apple hasn’t said anything about RAM capacity, but we shouldn’t expect more than 3/4GB. Support for 5G has also been implemented.
Out of the box, the phone will run iOS 15.3.
Cameras
Like the iPhone 13-series, the single 13MP primary camera on the rear has been upgraded with sensor-shift image stabilization. Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, Deep Fusion, and other features are also included.
This camera can shoot 4K footage at 60 frames per second and 1080p slow-motion films. The 7MP front-facing camera on the top bezel can record 1080p video.
Battery and Pricing
There’s no information on battery capacity, but we’re looking for a significant improvement over the iPhone 6. 18W fast charging will be linked with the battery.
The iPhone SE 2022 will go on sale for $429 on March 18 all throughout the world. It will be offered in three colors: red, white, and black.
