Alibaba hosted a lively event called the ‘Pakistan Seller Summit’ in Sialkot today to welcome local entrepreneurs to join this useful platform. Leading Alibaba professionals, along with global-logistics experts, senior bureaucrats, and representatives from Pakistani trade organizations, held highly interactive conversations to instruct more than 200 participating entrepreneurs.
Alibaba, the world’s largest digital marketplace, has officially opened its doors to Pakistani enterprises, allowing them to advertise their storefronts and sell their wares to B2B clients all over the world.
“Unlock Business Growth Code – Nonstop Business Opportunity with Export E-Commerce” was the summit’s title. The forum also honoured successful sellers whose businesses had multiplied as a result of Alibaba’s export ecommerce.
Daraz (Alibaba Group) is currently providing special services to help SMEs in Sialkot expand capacity and improve performance. The presenters also spoke with merchants who have been affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, sharing success stories and how Alibaba has helped them grow their businesses.

The Sialkot Surgical-Gloves Industry, which exports significant amounts to many countries, is one sector that can benefit greatly from permitting digital trade and international logistics. Alibaba is developing a digital solution for full B2B export with this technology.
Many practical options for cooperating logistic businesses to ensure long-term environmental and commercial sustainability were also proposed. Experts believe that increased worldwide accessibility will help to lessen the destructive economic trend of cross-border smuggling in the Sialkot region.
