In the third match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7, Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets. Multan kept their winning streak going by chasing down a massive 207-run goal with 5 wickets and 1 ball to spare.
Lahore got off to a flying start because Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique were openers. Before Kamran Ghulam joined Fakhar in the middle, they placed them in command and decimated Multan’s bowling line. Rashid Khan and David Wiese’s late flurry helped Lahore post a massive total of 206/5 on the board.
Multan retaliated with a flurry of their own, with Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood at the top of the order putting up a franchise-record combination. Before being sent back to the pavilion by Rashid Khan, Shan had the best individual score in PSL history. Multan eventually caught up with the objective in a nail-biting finish.
