Afiniti announced that Larry Babbio has been appointed as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer by its Board of Directors. He will also keep his position as Chair of Afiniti’s Board of Directors, which he was appointed to last month.
Since 2016, Babbio, the former Vice Chair and President of Verizon Communications, has sat on Afiniti’s Board of Directors. Babbio adds substantial technology sector experience and global executive leadership to Afiniti, according to a news release.
“Afiniti is a company made up of dedicated and talented people, who have together created a truly powerful technology,” Babbio said.
“We have a bright future, and to reach our full potential, we must continue building a supportive workplace that enables all of our employees to thrive — while delivering outstanding service to our clients,” he added.
In the aftermath of sexual assault charges against him, Afiniti’s founder Zia Chishti resigned down as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Director last month.
