Pakistan’s internet speed will be slow on April 21, according to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The PTA stated in a statement that a power reconfiguration activity on a segment of international undersea cable, SMW4, will take place from 2 to 7 a.m. as the reason for the poor speed.
The PTA stated that additional steps to providing uninterrupted internet services to consumers would be taken to meet capacity needs, despite the fact that certain internet users may experience speed reductions.
The telecommunications authority went on to say that it would endeavor to get the internet up and running as soon as possible.
In February, a cable cut in an undersea cable system about 400 kilometers off the coast of Pakistan caused internet outages throughout the country.
