Customs Enforcement Peshawar carried out a major operation against smuggling, recovering goods and vehicles worth Rs. 170 million. The raid focused on stopping illegal trade that harms the national economy. Officials said the action shows firm resolve, protects revenue, and sends a strong warning to smugglers operating across the region and beyond borders nationwide today.
ASD Nowshera Intercepts Smuggled Food Items
During the crackdown, different formations of the Collectorate acted together with speed and coordination. ASD Nowshera intercepted a Mazda truck and seized 3,430 kg of black pepper and 2,420 kg of cashew nuts. The vehicle was detained, and all items were documented carefully for legal action under customs laws.
Major Recovery by ASD D.I. Khan
ASD D.I. Khan recorded another major success during the same drive. Officials recovered 27.7 kg of foreign-origin charas from a Mazda truck. Along with narcotics, cigarettes, pan masala, cigars, CV joints, and Toyota fuel filter assemblies were seized, revealing organized and multi-product smuggling networks active in the area.
Foreign Origin Vehicle Seized in Hazara
ASD Hazara also contributed by seizing a foreign origin Toyota Hilux Surf, model 1991. Authorities confirmed the chassis number and found that the vehicle had been imported illegally. This seizure added significant value to the total recovery and strengthened enforcement presence across highways, border routes, and transit points in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.
