Shock Premier League club that no-one saw Pedro Neto
Shock Premier Wolves are in advanced talks with a surprise Premier League club over the sale of Pedro Neto, according to a new report.
Neto has been heavily linked with potential moves to Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester City this summer, with the latter considering him as a possible replacement for Julian Alvarez.
The Portugal winger provided nine assists in 20 games for Wolves last season, with only injury preventing him from having an even greater impact on Gary O’Neil’s side
Last month, transfer journalist Simon Phillips claimed that Chelsea had lodged their interest in signing Neto with the player’s agents.
But since then, there has been little to no indication that the Blues would move for the £50 million-rated winger.
However, RMC Sport have now explosively claimed that a deal is almost done between Chelsea and Wolves, with Neto having already expressed his desire to move to Stamford Bridge.
Reporter Fabrice Hawkins posted to Twitter that talks are at a ‘final stage’, and that the two clubs have already reached an agreement in principle.
Wolverhampton Express & Star reporter Liam Keen, meanwhile, says the agreed fee is £51.4 million.
