Xiaomi’s Poco F series, along with the Redmi Note family, are among its most popular phones due to their flagship killer specifications at a low price point.
Last year’s Poco F5 series was equally as popular as the others, and the Poco F6 Pro is already making the rounds in certifications.
Vanilla Poco F6
These certifications show essential features, as well as a non-Pro vanilla Poco F6 variant that will be marketed alongside it.
It will have to live up to the lofty standards established by the Poco F5, so we only have great hopes.
Nonetheless, it may be packed with the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm SM8635 processor. When formally introduced on March 18, this processor may be branded as Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or 8s Gen 2.
The Poco F6 Pro, rumoured to be a repackaged Redmi K70, will, nevertheless, have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. If the leaks are confirmed, the non-Pro model may once again be the better buy of the two.
The ordinary Poco F6 could be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Turbo, as the model numbers are quite close, 24069PC21G worldwide and 24069PC21I in India.
The anticipated Redmi Note 13 Turbo, which is slated to be introduced in China soon, has the model number 24069RA21C, which is very similar to the Poco F6.
Reports say that the Poco F6 is codenamed “Peridot,” after a yellow ruby. Notably, Redmi Note series devices generally have gemstone-inspired codenames, prompting conjecture about the previously rumoured rebranding. Regardless, we may expect more details in the coming weeks.
Following Qualcomm’s official unveiling of the SM8635 chipset, it is likely that multiple Chinese smartphone makers will quickly release new products that incorporate it.
Redmi is expected to be among them, thus opening the door for Poco to introduce its model to a worldwide audience.
