Changan has unveiled the Qiyuan A07 sedan in China for the first time. This sedan, which was first revealed in April and made its debut in July, comes in two power configurations: pure electric (EV) and extended range (EREV).

Variant Variety
There are five models available, including three EREVs (the 200 Air, 200 Pro, and 200 Max) and two EVs (the 515 Air and 515 Pro).
Prices range between RMB 155,900 and RMB 176,900 ($21,300 and $24,200). It’s worth noting that Qiyuan is part of Changan’s new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, with the A07 serving as its first model.
Beautiful Exterior Design
The exterior design of the Changan Qiyuan A07 exudes modern energy vehicle qualities with its graceful aesthetics, rounded body, front and rear LED light strips, and sleek main fascia.
According to Changan, the Qiyuan logo, which is made up of two 1s and one 0, represents the essence of numbers in binary code.
Elegant & Sporty
The fastback design adds a sporty element while maintaining the vehicle’s elegant lines. It has a hatchback tailgate, frameless doors, and hidden door handles.
The Changana Qiyuan A07 has dimensions of 4,905/1,910/1,480 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, classifying it as a medium-to-large sedan.
Innovative Interior Design
A minimalist design prevails on the inside, with a 15.4-inch floating central control panel with 2.5K resolution and a double-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with ambient lighting.
Most functions are integrated into the touchscreen, so physical buttons are minimal. The traditional instrument panel is replaced by an AR-HUD. The audio system has 16 speakers, including two in the driver’s headrest.
Comfort that can be Tailored
Buyers can select from a variety of interior color schemes. The seats have a diamond pattern and a perforated finish, and higher-end models include heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, as well as a scent system.
The Nap Scenario
The cockpit offers a “five-sense immersion space” with four modes: singing, movie watching, napping, and mind-wandering in rest mode. The nap scenario, for example, promotes sleep, whereas the meditation scenario promotes stress reduction.
Cruise Control & Advanced Safety
The car includes an L2 level IACC adaptive cruise control system as standard, which supports features such as intelligent cruise control in traffic, stabilizing and centering, automatic large-vehicle avoidance, and intelligent speed-limit control.
Outstanding Performance
The Changan Qiyuan A07 pure electric version is powered by CATL-supplied ternary lithium batteries and is propelled by a single electric motor with a maximum power of 190 kW, peak torque of 320 Nm, and a pure electric range of 515 kilometers (58.1 kWh battery capacity).
58.1 kWh Battery Capacity
The Qiyuan A07 range-extended version, on the other hand, includes a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine as a range extender, with a maximum power of 70 kW for the range extender, 160 kW for the electric motor, and 320 Nm of peak torque.
The purely electric range is 200 kilometers (CLTC condition, 28.4 kWh battery capacity), with a fuel consumption of 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers while feeding.
The vehicle also has a 3kW external discharge function and a range of 1,200 kilometers on a full charge and full tank.
