Rehmat Ali Hasnie has been appointed as the National Bank of Pakistan’s permanent president for a period of three years with the approval of the Federal Cabinet.
Cabinet Approves Rehamt Ali Hasnie Name
According to sources, the Cabinet on Monday accepted a summary for the appointment of Hasnie as President/CEO NBP on the advice of the Ministry of Finance.
In the event that Hasnie declines the offer, the Finance Ministry has also put forward the names of Muhammad Abdullah Ahmed and Mudassir Husain Khan as backup possibilities.
He began his career in 1995 with Taurus Securities Limited, and by the time he joined NBP as Senior Vice President (SVP) in January 2010, he had already moved on to Pak Iran Investment Company Limited.
He joined NBP on January 25, 2010, as SVP, and was later promoted to “Executive Vice President” with a total of 15 years of banking expertise (or experience connected to banking).
It is important to remember that Rehmat Ali Hasni, who has served as the NBP’s interim president since May 2022, was close to the organization’s previous president, Arif Usmain.
