Passport delivery times have just changed, according to a recent official statement from the DG Immigration and Passports.
The delivery times for standard, urgent, and fast-track services have been shortened to 10 days, 4 days, and 2 days, respectively, according to the notification.
Previous Passport Deliver Time
For normal, urgent, and fast-track services, the prior delivery times were 21 days, 7 days, and 4 days, respectively.
Applicants who were previously experiencing delays in acquiring their passports are anticipated to experience significant relief as a result of the shorter delivery times.
The decision to shorten the delivery periods is thought to have been made as a result of the recent rise in the number of applicants.
The enhanced delivery periods are intended to increase the effectiveness of the delivery system and decrease the backlog of outstanding applications because the DG I&P has been receiving a considerable number of applications.
The new delivery times will also benefit people who need it right away, like those who have to travel right away for job or medical reasons.
To ensure a simple and hassle-free application process, the DG I&P has asked applicants to follow the stipulated processes and supply all required papers.
