The popular first-person shooter franchise Destiny from the Halo developers will soon have a mobile game specifically for Android and iOS.
The Destiny video game franchise, which debuted in 2014, has seen various changes over the past eight years but has remained essentially a “space magic” shooter.
In order to virtually do away with the requirement for a “Destiny 3,” that original console-exclusive game received a sequel in 2017. This sequel doubled down on being a service game, similar to World of Warcraft.
A new Destiny entry, geared at mobile devices, is expected to join the franchise, according to a recent rumor from The Game Post. According to reports, Bungie and NetEase, a significant Chinese internet and video game firm, worked together to create the game.
Gamers are most likely to be familiar with NetEase thanks to their collaboration with Blizzard on the Android and iOS versions of Diablo Immortal. Pete Parsons, the CEO of Bungie, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the mobile development expertise that NetEase brought to the table when the company’s investment in Bungie was initially revealed back in 2019.
A developer’s LinkedIn profile has led to claims that the future Destiny mobile game would be a first-person shooter, exactly like the main game, although it might not be directly “connected to” Destiny 2.
The Game Post’s source claimed that the Destiny game for Android and iOS has been in development for more than two years, so we might not have to wait long for an announcement.
In the meanwhile, people who want to experience Destiny on a phone may already do so as of right now. Playing Destiny 2 on the move is accessible with the majority of the top game streaming providers, including Google Stadia, which lets you play the game for nothing at all.
