Last year, MediaTek unveiled the Dimensity 9000, the world’s first 4nm mobile chipset, as its flagship smartphone CPU.
This processor was previously seen in Oppo’s Find X5 Pro, which came with both a Snapdragon and a Dimensity variant.
If current speculations are to be believed, the processor could soon be found in one of Samsung’s future high-end smartphones.
The highly anticipated Galaxy S22 lineup was revealed by the South Korean tech giant just over a month ago, and now, reports about the impending Galaxy S22 FE are gathering traction.
According to a trustworthy Weibo source, Samsung is working on a next-generation smartphone (presumably the S22 FE) that will include MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 chipset.
Although no official confirmation has been provided, the tipster believes that the next Dimensity-9000-powered Galaxy smartphone will be either the Galaxy S22 FE or an enhanced edition of the previously introduced Galaxy A53, known as the Galaxy A53 Pro.
Furthermore, this future handset is rumored to include a 4,500 mAh battery that may support rapid charging, with a price range of $470 – $630.
If the Galaxy S22 FE does launch with this CPU, it will be the first time a FE model has used a different processor than its flagship predecessors, the Galaxy S22 range, which used either Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 depending on market.
