On a Saturday morning at NUST Islamabad, a crowd of 1000+ eager techies gathered under one roof — Who remembers the Google Developer Groups (GDG) Islamabad’s major tech event Devfest from earlier this year?
This year, the team behind Google Developer Groups-Islamabad hopes to re-create similar experiences for Pakistani tech and digital media fans in Devfest2021.
Google Developer Groups Islamabad (GDG Islamabad), in partnership with Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited and Women Techmakers Islamabad, will host Devfest2021, its most-anticipated annual flagship event.
This is a community-run one-day developer conference that aims to bring students, professionals, and industry specialists from all over the world together under one roof for presentations, hands-on learning with Google experts, and to learn more about existing and new Google technologies.
With industry experts from all around the country attending the event, each person will have the opportunity to have an honest conversation with them. GDG Islamabad, on the other hand, has organized a live coding contest aimed at empowering developers to create the finest learning experiences possible.
The main goal of this event is to bring together a big number of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs for collaborative learning and to capitalize on the shared experience of young professionals and students in order to construct and grow on top of Pakistan’s thriving technological ecosystem.
On the 18th of December, DevFest will be hosted at NUST H-12 with the topic of ‘Unlocking Pakistan’s Digital Potential.’ A meeting with a Googler, an illuminating debate on unblocking Pakistan’s Digital Potential, and a Spotlight Talk on Android 12 are among the highlights of the event agenda.
A fantastic diversity and inclusion panel, a much-anticipated live coding challenge, and a Chrome Devtool Workshop are also included. The evening will end with a stunning musical performance.
It should be emphasized that the event will adhere to stringent SOP rules, so bring your masks, sanitizers, and immunization certificates.
