A month before hosting the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has fielded a formidable Zimbabwe Select team to face the Pakistan Shaheens in six one-day matches at Harare Sports Club.
The Zimbabwe squad that played the Netherlands in March will start the 50-over series on March 21 with the exception of two players.
All-rounders Ryan Burl and Wessly Madhevere, spin bowlers Wellington Masakadza and Brandon Mavuta, and pacers Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava have also been selected.
The hosts plan to play seven additional players in the series in addition to the 14 who have been picked to face Pakistan. The one-day matches were organised by ZC so that Zimbabwe may prepare for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, which would be held in Harare and Bulawayo at four different locations between June 18 and July 9.
Ten countries will compete for two spots in the next 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India. The full team consists of:
| Burl Ryan | Chatara Tendai | Ervine Craig | Evans Brad | Kaia Innocent |
| Madande Clive | Madhevere Wessly | Marumani Tadiwanashe | Masakadza Wellington | Mavuta Brandon |
| Muzarabani Blessing | Ngarava Richard | Shumba Milton | Williams Sean | |
